American rapper XXXTENTACION was shot and murdered on June 18, 2018, precisely one year earlier, during what police think was a botched robbery.

Now, his team has announced a fresh documentary that will come in the near future about his short but contentious life. A trailer was published on Tuesday (June 18) to X’s Instagram account along with the caption, “Documentary Coming Shortly.” “There is certainly a distinction between Jahseh Onfroy and XXXTENTACION,” he states in the video. “It’s a tale, it’s the whole tale and this is the last time I’m going to say it.”

X was gunned down outside of RIVA Motorsports in Pompano Beach, Florida. The owners of the motorcycle dealership shared their deep sorrow via Twitter shortly after his death along with countless others.

In the wake of X’s passing, several of his releases have been certified multi-platinum, including “Moonlight,” “SAD!” and “Changes.” X’s debut album, ?, and his posthumous release, Skins, both topped the Billboard 200 as well.

No release date for the upcoming documentary has been revealed.
