Notorious armed robber who attacks his victims in Lagos wearing mask


Police officers in the state of Lagos allegedly arrested a notorious armed robber behind a series of attacks in Ajegunle and its suburbs. On February 19, the suspect, Musa Imoran and his gang allegedly went out on a robbery, snatching phones and bags on Agugu Street, Ajegunle.

Commander of Lagos State Police, Muazu Zubairu, who paraded the suspect, said the attack occurred around 2 am.

He said the information was received from a credible source that some robbers saw Agugu Street, Ajegunle armed with a variety of weapons, robbing people of their valuables.

He said based on the information, a team of  Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) operatives based in Ajegunle, were mobilized to the scene and that on sighting the operatives, the robbers scampered in different directions in their bid to evade arrest.
He said that luck ran out for one of the robbers who was arrested with one pump action gun with 20 unexpended cartridges, two pairs of hand gloves, two chains, and belts.
“During interrogation, he gave his name as Musa Imoran. He later led the operatives to their armory where an additional pump action rifle with 30 unexpended cartridges, one AK-47 magazine with 24 live ammunition 100 rounds of Beretta Pistol ammunition was recovered,” he said.
Zubairu said the investigation was ongoing with a view to apprehending other fleeing members of the gang to face prosecution.
