the song arrives after the homage-filled GRAMMY ceremony that honored the life of the late rapper. Meek announced that all proceeds from the album would go directly to the late rapper’s family.

On Sunday night, during the GRAMMYs, Mill premiered the song as part of a wider Nipsey homage. “And I’m not finna sitting here and pretending like I’m your only homie, but when we lose you, it really hurts me,” Meek raps. “Had me afraid to go outside without that thing on me / When everyone went against me you didn’t change me.” Roddy follows this up with a similar feeling, thinking about how Nipsey changed his life, his reaction to the late rapper’s death, and more.
