Jose Mourinho, former Manchester United coach, and Chelsea tipped FC Porto to beat Liverpool when both teams clashed on April 9 at Anfield in the Champions League quarter-final first – leg tie.
Mourinho thinks that Porto “has an opportunity” to advance past Liverpool last eight in the Champions League.
After defeating AS Roma in the last 16 stages, Porto reached the quarter-final of the Champions League, while Liverpool defeated Bayern Munich.
“FC Porto has a chance against Liverpool,” Mourinho was quoted by Record as saying at the ANTF Coaches Forum on Tuesday.
“Compared with last season, I think Sérgio Conceição will ask himself questions about what happened in order to do something different this time around.
“The tie is open and what happened last year, I believe, can play for Porto in both games.
“Liverpool have an absolutely fantastic individual quality. They are disputing the league title, which means that in the previous game or between the two games, they will not rest players.”
